How to Mix Christmas Gin and Tonic. If you’ve never made simply syrup, you’ll be pleasantly surprised how easy it is! All you have to do is heat even parts water and sugar on the stove. Once the sugar is dissolved it’s done. That’s it! For the Gin and Tonic (or G+T), all you need are equal parts gin and equal parts tonic.

Directions Combine gin, tonic water, spiced simple syrup, orange juice and cup of ice into mixing glass Stir softly to mix ingredients together Strain into wine glass over fresh ice Garnish with whole cloves, whole allspices, and orange slice.

Use a jigger, shot glass, or kitchen measuring cup to portion out your drink (so one jigger of gin and three of tonic). * 1 part gin* 3 parts tonic water, chilled* Ice* Lime twist or slice. Add ice to the glass, pour gin over the ice, then add the tonic water.
